Words From Lee Kazlow;

Words can not even describe how awesome this trip. . . this experience was. Literally no matter what I say will give this credit. Through my entire trip from the day I left to the flight home I had been writing everything down(when I could) in a note book, so I wouldn't forget the memories in detail!

Jan 23rd 2010

Its 5:00 AM here in San Antonio, Texas I'm riding to the airport to get on my first flight to Dallas. . . Everything seems good, the streets are clear its a nice day, I'm beyond nervous/excited right now! I'm also pretty damn tired. -- Made it through security just fine, waiting at my gate to head to DFW, I'll probably catch some sleep as much as I can. -- Perfect flight, I'm now waiting at my gate to leave to LAX, I have a lonngggg layover there! I'm getting a bit hungry, will be eating once in Cali. -- After much annoyance I am at my gate awaiting to leave LAX for Tokyo, Japan. I totally forgot about the time change in Cali... So here I am at 7:30 AM and my flight doesn't leave until 3:25 PM. . . FUCK! Long wait, decided to eat some McDonalds *bleh*. . . I'm having a hard time staying awake right now, as I really couldn't sleep last night due to excitement! -- Flight has been delayed leaving! SO GAY. Geeze, I'm so tired, right now! Thank God for the few people who have been texting me keeping me awake and sane at this point. Hopefully we start boarding soon it's almost 4:00 PM. -- Finally on the plane! I'm in a decent mood, cause I just had the funniest experience with some girl who sat next to me while waiting, but I'm also pretty bummed that I won't get to speak to my friends for a week! (I really don't think my phone will work over in Japan). I'm still a bit nervous as most of you know I've had bad feelings about this trip like I'm going to get hurt or die or something, Lolz. Which makes me feel stupid for writing all this if I end up dying! ANYWAY, time to sleep and jam out to music for 14 more hours!

Jan 24th 2010

WOW. That's the first thing I can think to write at this point! I'm currently in my hotel room, relaxing. . . So I'll back track a bit. On the flight I slept for about 6-8 of the 14 hours. . .I drew some pretty snazzy drawings too, I thought alot on the plane too, got depressed about some stuff, but got happy again when I continued to tell myself "You're going to Japan dude". We then arrived after much anxiousness! Turned on my phone and saw it still said the Texas time, realized it wasn't going to work. . . Then continued to think "I should have brought my laptop". Got off the plane and had to walk the longest distance to get to customs! Such a long walk, seemed almost endless! Probably part of it was due to purely my excitement. Once at customs I couldn't believe how friendly the staff were, such a complete opposite of my England customs experience. When I told the customs agent that I was going over there for Pro Wrestling bookings they really got excited and began asking me questions, was such a great feeling. After passing the agents I began walking around (aimlessly) looking for where I was supposed to go to get picked up, I laugh now thinking about how bad I really stood out to everyone. For those who don't know me, or just haven't painted the picture in their head. I'm a 19 year old who is 6'1 with long/curly blonde hair. . .walking amongst Japanese men/women that aren't over 5'8. Like I said, thinking back it seems quiet funny. Anywho, I get spotted pretty easy *thankfully* the guy picking me up "John M." can speak both English and Japanese fluently, so that was quiet a delight. He got me taxied over to my room and got me all checked in! Such a friendly guy, this brings me back to the present. I'm going to grab a shower, then go check out some shops around the area. -- Back at the hotel from shopping, will be getting ready to leave to the first show soon! First thing I noticed when out alone is how friendly everyone was! So helpful to me. During my course of browsing the shops I had to go pee really bad, and the shops I had been going into didn't seem to have any bathrooms. . . So I began looking around (I assume I looked lost) when a Japanese man approached me and said "Need Help?" I said "Yes... I'm looking for a bathroom" He smiled and responded "Not much English". . . So I began saying "restroom. . . toilet" He was trying to understand me. . . Then I remembered I had my art pad with me, so I pulled it out and flipped open a blank page and started sketching a picture of a toilet, and the man smiled at me and stopped me from continuing my drawing. Then directed me to the nearest restroom. I thanked him and shook his hand, this made me realize I need my art pad everywhere If I can't explain myself! So that will be with me anytime I'm alone from now on! -- I'm at the Maishima Arena in Osaka, Japan. . . Which was quiet a ride away from Tokyo. Waiting for the rest of the KANON locker room to show up, I looked around, the venue is very clean and nice. . . They even have food and drinks backstage, which is a first for me! -- My match was great! Planning was a real experience, thankfully alot of wrestling moves are in English, so that helped. We just kinda used body language during planning. One of the funnest tag matches I've ever done, we went about 30 minutes ending in victory as my partner for the night Salt Soungur hit his finishing move in the 450 Splash. I really want to thank Salt, Iguchi, and Mura for one of my favorite matches ever, I can't wait to see footage of it back! I also have to note the fans, they were so awesome. They truly respected everything we did out there, they ate up my gimmick work alot. Many of them started calling me "Mustard Man" which I laughed at. They drew awesome tonight also, I believe around 600 fans. Such a great experience I'm really looking forward to the other two shows for while I'm over!

Jan 25th 2010

I really haven't had time to write much today! Been really busy/exciting day. Just finished my second match over here! I ended up losing taking a top rope half-nelson suplex. Which brings to my attention a point I forgot to say from my last write up. THE RINGS ARE SO STIFF. It feels like bumping on concrete! But I had a blast again in another tag match facing the same opponents with my partner in "Baba". . . But I want to thank everyone again such a great experience and fun match. I got the chance to sign autographs with the fans, which was such an AWESOME thing, they were so friendly and respectful. Great day, I'm exhausted though, going to crash now.

Jan 26th 2010

Its 8:42 AM - and I just got back upstairs from getting on the computers in the hotel, emailed a friend and chatted with her a bit, then got on aim talked to a few friends on there too! For some reason MySpace wouldn't work on the computers! BLEH! Now I'm getting ready to go out to some anime shops! Which I'm SO pumped for, time to shower. -- Anime shops were sick! I ended up buying some DB/RockMan figures. . . Spent most of the afternoon browsing the shops had such a fun time, put my art pad technique to use again too. Went by a Japanese arcade which was probably the coolest thing so far, I saw some teens completely dominating every game they came across, I stood at a distance and watched eventually decided to browse around the arcade for other games, and what do I see? MEGAMAN X (Well... Rockman X) The one game I completely rule at, currently rated 279th in the world at it. . . Then as I'm playing and doing pretty well I see a crowd start to form around me off the reflection of the TV screen, after completing a few levels without taking damage, I turned around and the group applauded me and one of them extended there hand and smiled as if asking for a turn. . . I gladly handed the controller over, only to watch this guy be just as. . . If not better than me! After he was done I smiled and gave him a thumbs up and said "English?" He nodded and said "Yes" Then we chatted about gaming for a little bit and why I was visiting Japan, It was such a fun experience ended up exchanging emails TOTALLY AWESOME. Now I'm back at the hotel now, it's 1 in the morning I'm going to get to sleep now, traveling to the last show tomorrow morning.

Jan 27th 2010 - 29th 2010(29th in Japan)

Currently on the plane heading back to Texas its the 29th in Japan it will be the 28th when I get home. . . weird huh? Didn't have any time to write anything over the past few days! I was really busy with traveling, wrestling, and my injury. . . Yep, Injury. I was wrestling my final match against a Japanese wrestler named "Baba" Who I had tagged with the previous show. He is around 6'2 - 300+ lbs. . . But no I wasn't hurt by any move he delivered or anything like that. The match is going great, I've hit some sweet flips that I hadn't done in ages, to the crowds liking. Then I was whipped into the corner and right when I hit, I felt a massive "snap" in my right knee, instantly following was an insane amount of pain causing me to crumble to the mat. I still don't know why it happened, maybe just something to bump it over the edge to cause the pain? I've haven't had knee problems since I was a newborn baby. The first thought that went through my head is "No, Please don't tell me my career just ended... Right at my peak". Then other thoughts started too, wondering If I could finish the match, scared cause I have 3 friends and my mom who have had knee problems in the past, one was out for an entire year from wrestling due to knee surgery! At this point Baba and the referee knew something was wrong, the reff came over to me (mind you he doesn't speak much English, well to my knowledge at the time NO English). . . and he says "Can you Finish?" I said "Yes, now though, now". A few seconds later Baba hit his *safe* finishing cross brainbuster. (I want to point out, that this happened within about 10-20 seconds, not as slow as I detailed it out). I was helped to the back by Baba and the Referee the fans clapped as they are truly knowledgeable fans and knew I was injured when it happened. I got to the back and iced my knee, It was in so much pain. To my supernatural favor from what I say "The grace of God" their happened to be a Doctor in the audience at the show, that got the attention of staff after my match asking if I was ok. . . The doctor came to the back and he ended up re-setting(or something?) my knee in place. Which is legitimately one of the most painful things that's ever happened. Right now, I'm alright overall, I really don't know how bad it is yet. . . I mean at the moment I've been walking with a bit of a limp, and It hurts pretty bad still. SUCKS! I really hope the pain starts going away more and more so I can commit to my other bookings for the rest of this year. . . . I guess *this* was the thing I had been worrying about?. MEH.

Figured I should get the really bad news out of the way, and turn onto lighter. Even with my injury KANON-Pro has offered me a returning spot to a future show (with some awesome details I don't want too publicly share at the moment). I have a few hours left on the flight, once I'm home I'll leave my closing words to this overwhelming experience. -- Back at home finally! What a amazing week, NOTHING I say in this, pictures or videos I upload will give credit to this unbelievable journey! Next time I definitely want to stay longer, if possible. I want to thank KANON-Pro for being so gracious with helping me and giving me the opportunity to wrestle in the most respected place for professional wrestling. I want to thank Salt Soungur, Baba, John M, Tan Iguchi, Mura, The Doctor who helped me, KANON-Pro Staff/Management, The awesome Japanese fans, my friends & family for their constant support on making it on this journey! This felt like such a HUGE step in my career. Words can not describe how thankful I am for everything that was done for me, the people I met, and the unreal experience. Thank you very much, Everyone. I hope I can heal up fast, and return over there very very soon.
